Our Hardwood Floor Installation Process
At Cutting Edge Hardwood Flooring, we practice two primary methods of new hardwood floor installation. Which one we choose depends entirely on the nature of the project. For each technique, we’ll utilize either cleat nails or a combination of cleat nails and wood adhesive to adhere the new wood floors to the sub surface. Our team has developed expert-level status at the following hardwood floor installation processes:
Lacing-In Installation
Most of our clients already have a room in their home with hardwood floors – like the kitchen. What they want is the same flooring in adjacent rooms, such as the dining or living rooms. That’s where lacing-in installation comes in. This technique seamlessly blends the old with the new. We select the same species of hardwood that matches your existing hardwood and carefully lace-in unfinished flooring. From there, we finish, sand, and on request, stain the floor.
New Installation
We can also install brand-new flooring in a room or the entirety of your home. We work with you to select the wood species that best fits your vision for your home. From there, we operate quickly and effectively to install the hardwood floor to your specifications.
